Create a digital publication with the help of AI text and image tools. The publication needs to infuse elements of AI and graphic design.

A collection of short 1000 - 2000 word stories from an alternate universe where anything can happen with the influence of AI, design-wise. 

The stories are relevant to graphic design and have a mix of gothic horror, dark comedy, adventure and drama. The image style for this is Pixel art. The point is to show how and where design could change, for better or for worse with the use of Ai technology. 

The stories may use horror and be scary in nature, but this is by design as when a new technology becomes more accessible, the ‘old’ professionals tend to worry. I want to use that fear and make outrageous stories based in the world of graphic design, using familiar concepts and principles that designers can relate to. 

Hacked is the headings font and was used on the front cover, and half title. 
This font was chosen because it embodies elements that are in the concept. 
The elements are horror within a technological context, AI.  

Tw Cen MT for table of contents, caption, running head, and folio.

This font was selected because of the variety in the font family, it is easy to read in all caps and pairs well with the body copy font IBM Serif.

IBM Plex Serif for body copy.

This font was chosen for the easier readability as compared to the first choice, Tw Cen MT, when copy was adjusted. In fitting with the theme of the publication, a serif font makes it easier to digest and set the tone the tone of the story.

The colour scheme reflects the theme of the publication. 

Black – All text and used in some images.

White Smoke – Pages

Maroon – Used in the images at varying shades

Licorice – Used alongside maroon and black to provide depth to some images. 

The format of the publication is A4 portrait. Pictured below is the grid used for the publication.

Images were gathered using AI tools. A mix of Gencraft, Craiyon, NightCafe and Bing Image Generator was used.
